What is the standard depth for a crockery unit?
The lower cabinet section is typically 45–50 cm deep — enough to store large serving platters. The upper glass display section is shallower at 30–35 cm so items remain visible without the unit protruding too far into the room.
What type of glass is best for a crockery unit?
We use 5mm toughened glass for doors and 8mm toughened glass for shelves — both are rated for the load of crockery and are far safer than standard float glass in case of accidental impact.
